Dr. Alan Pearson has 30 years clinical experience evaluating and treating visual and perceptual dysfunctions impacting learning, development, reading, dyslexia, attention deficits, strabismus, amblyopia, and visual integration. He has been involved in research and development associated with curriculum development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and integrative treatment approaches. Dr. Pearson works with children (6 months and up) and adults wanting to improve their visual skills through therapeutic activity. He evaluates and prescribes appropriate tools and goals then counsels and coaches the patient/family toward achievement. He works collaboratively with occupational, physical, and speech therapists as well as with educators around the state.

Dr. Pearson serves as the Executive Director of the Near Vision Institute and EYE See Clinic. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Pearson is a software developer involved in projects that facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, professional training, and treatment planning.

In his free time, Dr. Pearson enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, backpacking and skiing.
